Hi! Some quick notes about today's lesson, Critical Thinking...
CT: thinking intelligently about things, ability to look at ideas objectively...THINGS TO DO:
* analyze ideas
* explore both positive and negative aspects of an idea or theory
* have an open mind
* make judgments by considering all sides of an issue
* be prepared to change your mind and rethink concepts if necessary
* look at evidence with an open mind
* look for weaknesses in your own reasoning
* assess the expertise of a writer or speaker
* look for more than one expert who supports an idea
* ask questions to evaluate ideas
because there is a superiority of sense among people.If people accept their unfair, these senses will be bruised.ıt causes intestine war so they prefer to run away from this war.That's why people refuse to respect ideas that are different or opposite to theirs.

ReplyDeleteI think this kind of people think that'Opposing views can harm our ideas.'So they refuse to respect them.
ReplyDeleteFamily is the first school for a child.They learn thing from their parents.So until a child grows an becomes a teenager or adult, he/she acts like his/her parents.But this situation can change to the persons education.If a person develop itself well he/she will consider things objectively that are read , heard by it or told to it.On the other hand some of the people are not able to have a good education or they don't want to have a good decision.So these kind of people can't do critical thinking because as i said they don't have enough knowledge to do it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they don't have concrete and enough proof to defend their opinions against to others or the worse one is as you said they have no idea about why do they believe them.So they cut it off by acting this way.
ReplyDeletethe main reason is education in my opinion education is extremelly important .educated people can improve themselves more than not educated people.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it's about improve ourselves. It depends on familiy, friedns and the other social factors.In addition i agree with Şimal. Education is very important, too.
